it sucks moving from one game server to another

I have always hated moving from an old server to a new server after advertising the old server for soo many months. 
Moving from one server to another is the worst that can happend because you will loose players during the move if not done correctly. When i move from one server to another the way i advertise the new server is to rent a new server like 2 - 3 weeks before the ending period on the old server. This will give me at least 2 - 3 weeks to advertise the new server on the old server to the people that put the server in their favorites.
I'm off to do some advertising
