taking my time

I have a friend that owns 3 small houses that lives next to where i live. Whenever i do something for him. He tells me "Take your time" don't rush through things because you will not do it right or you will have to re-do it over and over again until you get it right.
There's certain things that i would mention now but i don't do anything for maybe 2 - 4 months later. There are other things that i would act suddenly example when the server in chicago started getting ddos. I had to mave a sudden move and change server location to NYC ( bad move for rushing ) but i thought it was a good move at the time.
This goes for the contest i want have a full proof contest something that will work well and that i can use a few times before creating a new one.
I will be following my neighbor's suggestion and i will continue to take my time...
