I have a PS3, PSP and a PS2. I would have gotten a three-hundred and sixty but I felt that they really should of fixed the RRoD by now, although I don't really like any of the 360 games that are "exclusive", because for me Halo is just another shooter with slight twists here and there; Gears is practically the only game that I wish was not a 360 exclusive although all my friends with the 360 discourage me from getting it.

PS2 FUCK YEAH. I love that console.

Why do they call it a 360? Because when you see it you'll turn 360 degrees and walk away.

Spoiler
Hurp Durp if you turn 360 degrees you're facing the same way

Genesis N64 gamecube xbox wii. and a ds lite

I barely play my 64/genesis/xbox anymore and hardly ever play any wii games(not counting the VC which I play about the same as my xbox). But my DS is getting more play thanks to me remembering how much I freaking love advance wars.

I would get a wii now that they are just $200 but the selection of games isn't all that great(except for the first party titles). I will be playing my wii a lot next year when Metroid: Other M is released (THANK YOU NINTENDO I STILL HAVE SOME FAITH IN YOU).

I'd go with the 360 (well, actually I alredy have ), but really it depends on what kind of games you plan on getting. The 360 has always seemed to be the console more devoted to shooters (I'm soreu someone will disagree, but oh well), whereas anyone of the Playstations would be more for those people who are into J-RPGs and any EA Sports game, and Nintendo would be for anyone with young kids or who is trying to get their family to join them. (For me the biggest deciding factor though was the fact that most of my friends already had 360s and LIVE accounts; oh and Halo, you can't forget Halo)

Owned alot of the consoles over the years starting with the good old atari 2600 and now I have a 360 and wont look at another console as its just freaking fantastic.

Gears 1 was great , gears 2 , was ok , just too short , however ... they are far from being the best titles as far as fps go.
Any of the call of duty games will blow gears away , world at war , and modern war 1 and 2 are fantastic games with great online stuff too.

As for RRoD , ive had 2 now and never ever had a problem with them. Yes it seems its a problem with some systems but they do give you a 3 year warranty that covers it for RRoD and I will say that the PS3 has its own fair share of major problems.

I do agree with you somewhat , I dont get the EA comment though . The 360 is however has a good number of games that cater to the RPG players such as the games listed at this link Xbox Games List (Xbox 360) By Genre with also games like C+C and that new final fantasy coming soon.
May not be a great selection but there are some really good ones on there.

As for the wii , personally I found it a little gimacky. I sold my 1st 360 and replaced it with a wii for the wifes kids but I talked them into getting rid of it for another 360 lol.
They thought it was great but I thought it was a little meh. I will probably get them 1 again soonish and that new controller thingie they have now might make it a little better. They enjoyed it more for the unique way the controllers work , but with NATAL for the 360 coming they might think thats just as fun so who knows.

For years everytime I looked at a playstation game rack it was 65 to 80% full of EA Sports games, so they're just things that I've come to associate with the system (it also doesn't help that pretty much everyone I knew who had a playstation had several EA sports games and J-RPGs in their collection). Might be that things have changed, honestly, I stopped looking at playstation a long time ago

I really like my PS3, though its used mostly as a media player. I'll pick up a game here and there for it, but in general I'm just not into playing console games as much. I'll probably pick up marvel ultimate alliance 2 in a few weeks when I'm back from Houston.

In general, though, it has done more than pay for itself with ps3mediaserver running on my computer upstairs.

I've got a PS3 (PSN tag: theFubar, add if you like) and a Wii. I had a 360 but sold it since all it did was sit around and collect dust. I used to be big into the Xbox/XBox360 but after a while the public games with the foul-mouthed 12 year olds drove me crazy, and I've been focusing more on offline play and couldn't justify spending money to play online anymore when I'd get on once a month.

The PS3 is nice. I got a used 40GB model and it's been plugging away. I swapped the hard drive out for a 160GB so I had more room for media and the like. I kinda dig that I don't have to spend 100+ bucks on a drive upgrade. The games are fun, and I generally like it overall. I do miss some of the 360 exclusives, but I may end up getting another one after getting the house situation resolved (thinking of buying one soon).
