Exclamation Steam Email Verification

Protect your steam account by verifying your email address. Whenever you do a change to your steam account you will be asked to enter your password and an email will be sent to the contact email address that you have with your steam account. In that email you will have to click on a confirmation code to make sure that you want to continue updating your steam account.

To confirm your email address right click on the steam icon in the system tray ( bottom right system clock ). Now go up to settings and left click it. In the account tab click on the first box that says "Verify Email Address..."

A small little window will pop open like the one pictured above. Just click on the next button to verify your email address with steam.

An email will be sent to your email address that you have associated with your steam account. If you do not get this email click on the link that says "Visit Steam support for assistance" there you will have a chance at re-sending the email again to your email inbox.

IF the email does not appear in your inbox check the spam folder to make sure it is not in there.

Check your inbox and click on the link that appears inside the email sent to you by steam to verify your email address.

After you click on the link in the email you be taken to a page that says "Email verification Success!"

You have now successfully verified your account with steam.

NOTE: Verifying your steam account is just a bit of added security to eliminate accounts from being stolen.
