Some people are speculating ( although im sure its just personal wants etc ) that it might include a new version of css ( css 2 ? ) or 1 or 2 older games like day of defeat source just to fill up space.
I also forgot to mention another reason for why the think the name would be the blue box ... Orange and blue portals , there was a hacker device called the orange box as well as the blue box seen in the last puzzle and the original game bundle is orange box so blue box fits with the theme.

CSS2? I don't think so. That would be a huge disappointment.

I would prefer to see another ip set in the HL universe or some add on pack to TF2 or something.
What more could they possibly do with CS:S other than some new maps and maybe some guns?

Anyway as for CSS 1.6 they could 1st start off by rebuilding it from the ground up , its a good game dont get me wrong , but the hit reg and mechanics of the game are HORRIBLE ! You can shoot at the dirt off to the sides of someone foot and be awarded an headshot kill. I moaned about it while playing and people like JT tell me I should try the original CSS as its great compared to it.
On top of that they could update graphics ,possibly making it use the l4d2 version of the source engine and restricting it to dx 9 and add some interesting game modes to it apart from straight DM / Defuse and rescue such as some kind of escort mode like vip escort in americas army or capture mode using control point areas or briefcase retrieval again like americas army.

A new CS:S would be Oh it's this game again with an updated engine, new weapons, and some new maps but everyone will still only want to play Office and Dust 2. Same shit. Different skins and a fresh coat of paint. TF2 was fresh face in online play and didn't feel like it was a rehash of the original.
Also I'm pretty sure it somehow ties to the HL universe somewhere. Or at least it feels like it should.

but i wonder if they add a completely new idea, that would be cool, if they go with the same 5 game setup as the orange box it might be

This is a game made by another bunch of students , the same ones that were added to the portal team just recently.
It will give you some idea how some of the new additions to portal 2 are going to work , its a great game and the fact that its free it even better
