"Early access to the demo begins Thursday, November 6 on both the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and the PC. This pre-order promotion applies to all Steam PC pre-orders and all Xbox 360 and PC pre-orders from participating retailers in North America. The demo will feature single player and co-operative modes, supporting 1 to 4 player games.

On November 11 the demo will be made available to all Xbox 360 and PC and gamers, with no obligation to purchase. The demo concludes on November 18, when Left 4 Dead will be made available at retail outlets across North America and worldwide via Steam."

YESSSS all the more reason for people to pre-order (and get my fix early!)

btw I'm guessing this will be all over steam news when I get home but since I haven't been on Steam yet today this is news to me.

really havent seen much on this, but i hope it turns out to be as good as all the hype your putting out about it. would hate to see you disappointed...lol

Even if the single player sucks, the versus mode looks like it should be great. Considering all the time I've put into CZ/HL/HL2/HL2DM/TF2 I doubt Valve would dissappoint. I mostly want to get other people excited so I have people to play with. It'll be just like any other game where it's amazing the first few days (ideally) great for 2 weeks or so, good for a month but you know and accept most of the negatives, and okay after that but you keep playing for the multiplayer cause friends are where it's at (and that usually keeps the game around "good" level unless they seriously fuck it up.)

Everyone should at least try out the free demo on the 11th-17th though, I'm just glad I'll know if I like it early. If nothing else it was only $50 and I rarely buy games so *shrug* I'll let everyone here know when I get a chance to actually play it. I'll probably try to install it on my 2nd comp so Cloudsgirl and I can play together offline on the same account and get the coop experience going a few days early.

This game can't come out soon enough. I wants me some 4 person multiplayer 28 days later loving.

All you noob gamers better buy it cause this game will tear me from the clutches of WAR online.

I can't download the demo through steam. When ever i click on the install demo button the page reloads and that's it.

Demo kicks ASS... I really wish it was the full game. So far the demo takes about 15-20 minutes on Normal/Advanced (since you only play 2/5 maps in the first of four "movies")... have yet to live to the end on Expert. Been playing for the last couple hours w/ Travis and Wolfman joined up for a bit. Very fun indeed... anyway back to the game

You have to have the game pre-ordered to get the demo as of now, you can get it with out pre-ordering it on the 11th I believe.
