Default portal prelude personal review

so i downloaded portal: prelude which took almost an hour and after seeing the trailer and some graphics i was pretty excited. the visual graphics were very detailed and eccentric but once i started to actually play the game my excitement was replaced with frustration. the puzzles go right into the heavy stuff without having any previous warm up stage before it, leaving you in the dark on how to solve it. not only that but these maps were not so much of a puzzle but rather situations the require lightning fast reflexes. other maps are constructed nearly identical within its self which are someone confusing.

on a better note, the visual complexity of most chambers is very detailed and unique. there isn't one chamber that seems very similar to an original portal map, most seem to be well thought out and constructed (neatness wise, not gameplay wise).

I give it a 3/5

puzzle construction bad
learning curve bad
visual detail good
unique good
level construction(neatness) good
