Actually, no. He only keeps the tag because he likes the look of it. As soon as he gets an invite into the clan he will drop it and adopt the new tag for a real clan.
Unless you're referring to being in different steam groups. Personally, I think it's the Tag that defines whether or not someone is in the clan or not. Groups are just for fun, and *real* clan tags are the serious business.
night: i see what your saying about the clan. i'm not worried about this or anything but just an fyi: the .sf and the cf crap on my name is because my husband and i play on the same account. he's not an admin it's to show support to his servers. i'd have to go in and change it everytime i play and right now i have no reason too so i just leave it, but anyway i'm not apart of a clan never was. just the name.
