I'd play more if Evan played more, he's like the only one I really know anymore xD

and I find it boring playing a regular game, our mic spamming, teh lol making shenanigans make the game exponentially better. Maybe its because I'm not competitive at all, but for the most part I play games to have fun, and to me winning isn't more fun than chilling on the battlements making dispenser after dispenser with a fellow engineer, laughing the whole time.

To be honest , when you guys got together and had your "fun" it did nothing bit piss off everyone apart from those in your little party group.

Alot of the time your mic spamming and other stuff just went way too far to the point that no one else could use the mic and wernt able to enjoy the game the way they wanted to as you were all trying to "rally" your team to play the way you lot wanted.

I think when it was finally brought up to you lot that things needed to calm down a little , you all pouted and went elsewhere to play or swapped to other games.

Dont get me wrong , sometimes it didnt get as bad as it did at other times and then it was I think enjoyable for the most part but other days it just seemed like you joined the server with the intention of just griefing.

Oh I'm sorry you have an important life and the REST of us must bow down to the fact you have a life? I'm pretty sure we ALL have lives. How we choose to spend our free time is not something you should be judging.

That said, if you don't have time to play, then why bother trying to change the game at all?

I don't know what this has to do with 10 second uber crits, but, yah. Try doing something once in a while.

Sorry if our fun ruins it for others... I see it as a game, and when you play its fun to play with friends, I could care less about capping the intel, or killing a sniper. I'm here to have some fun.

So yeah, sorry my Ideals don't involve pwning newb or anything like that, I hang out on the game like I do in IRL, goofing off and having a fun time. I have enough stuff to worry about in my own life that I don't wanna bother raging about a scout sneaking past and engineer.

I quit playing TF2 because every-time I died I'd scream at the computer about lag or some other dumb shit. I'd rather not go down that road again. If the other team wins the game, whoop-dee-freaking-doo, another round is gonna follow it.

EDIT: and back on topic... I really can't stand the crits... it makes the game seem so much more different. Some of the best times I've had in the game are not involved with killing people, but rather with hanging out, finding new things out, like sentry-morphing and rock clipping. To give the winning team an edge just seems kinda dumb to me. I'd rather have a fair chance rather than seeing a ton of crit rockets flying through the air after I hear "The enemy has captured the intel."

I wasn't trying to sound like I was better than you. I should have worded it better. I was just saying I have other things to do. :\

Also we don't TRY to be annoying. Trust me you'd know it. We just enjoy chilling with each other. You should notice that when we all joined #TS it slowed down because we used vent more to communicate than in game. My most fond moments are when we were dicking around. I had FUN doing it. Which is what a game is used for. I do not enjoy it as much when it's all WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111!1!!!

Fun is fine as long as your fun doesnt spoil other people fun.

Going back to the original topic, I do not like the crits after cap. Sure it might break up turtling but the fact of the matter is you have to cap first. Its not like you can just turn on the crits and the turtling is over. Most of the time, the crits just help one team get three quick caps, which really isn't fun for anyone. Steamrolling isn't really fun for either side and it becoming more and more a problem lately.

I agree with this. I mean with these crits it's just shoving salt in an open wound and paralyzing us while a scout can run down for the second cap while we wait for the 18 second respawn. D:

team balance lately is worse than crits. crits among nearly equal teams are fine but it really doesn't make much of a difference one way or another, and does help break up the flow of the game (in a good way) so at least one team gets a cap. most of the people who don't like the crits never leave the base and are busy getting steamrolled by the other team so getting killed by a crit from a heavy across the map or a scout who can't even aim straight but hits you with his load (after he missed the guy he was aiming at) and kills you with a crit is just plain annoying.

i know there's a few people trying to restore team balance lately and i for one appreciate it. crits are not a problem they just add to a problem that's already there (see: any discussion on spawncamping / udders' comments on teammates gameplay choices in this thread for other examples where shit piles up quick and causes a snowball effect)

.......Guilty. (not of the pun though)

Anyway, all's I know is that crits and my comp just don't agree. Which means I don't like them. Cuse when the intel gets capped, suddenly my frames are partying in the negative.

Going off topic just a little , but isnt there a command to turn off the effect ? I will look into it.

Post in TF2 section on how to get rid of crit boost effect to help people that lag when this happens.

I like them, 10 sec might be a tad long, but they're nice and they give an extra bonus to everyone in the capping team.
