Default TF2 Console
How do I access the TF2 console?

I press the tilde (~) key and nothing happens. I tried binding it to just a normal alphanumeric key and it still won't come up.

Any idea as to why?

You can access it in-game:

options > keyboard > advanced > enable dev console.

That should work.
