Here's how to install amxmodx on your linux or windows

AMX Mod X - Half-Life Scripting for Pros! On the left hand side click on downloads to get the latest amxmodx file package.
You can download amx mod x full installer - This file package will install the necessary files for your game server either windows or linux. All you do is tell it your FTP information and file path to your game mod folder. If you're installing amxmodx on a
CS 1.6 server then select it from the game addon drop down menu. You will also need to tell it which operating system your game server is running on either windows or linux. After that it will upload the files to your game server. This file package of amxmodx is .exe format.
Amx mod x base is the file package that you will need for your game server. These 2 file package types are windows and linux. You will need to know which operating system your game server is running on before you download either file package. You will need to ask your game server privider which operating system your game server is using.
Save the .tar.gz or .zip file to your desktop for easy finding. Extract the files and save them to the desktop. Once the files are unzipped you are going to see one folder called "addons".
